Mixed oil painting using ( glaze+émulsion )

This is a process stemming from the research of Brothers Van Eyck ( 1385-1441 ) a technique whose richness and solidity have never been equaled.

Products:

The glaze (or medium) and the emulsion (mixture of water and oil) have a base of oil of linen, of turpentine, varnish of dammar, of siccative of Harlem, alcasit or egg and water.

The glaze is the fat and oily part the emulsion is the thin part.

Glaze and emulsion are worked together.

The layers are stacked as often as is necessary to obtain vibration and relief of the color.

Between every layer, a period of drying must be respected.

Colours are deep and unique.

The work is protected from the effects of time that is of the oxidation of colors or the return of the paint to the form of powder pigments.

It is the process which I prefer.

It has a great sensuality, an extreme flexible sensibility and can be used without limit.

It is adaptable to every type of expression.

It gives the colours maximum vibrancy.

One could not dream of more.
